Save the Dates

I found the idea for my save the dates on a popular online design website and then had my friend who is a graphic designer copy them using our engagement pictures! We sent them out as a postcard and many people thought they were an advertisement! She did a great job.

Invitations

Picture
I also found my invitations on that same website where I found my save the dates and then had my same friend copy the design! Since I work in advertising it is just so much cheaper to do them myself using my vendors than pay outrageous amounts online! Needless to say it was a TON of work assembling 250 invitations but in the end I think they turned out amazing. The cardstock backing was purchased from paperandmore.com and the ribbon I purchased from Michaels.  Sorry about the photos... I took them with my palm so they are a little hard to see the details. The upper left photo is where the three inserts (RSVP card, Accommodations card and Reception card (with map on the reverse side) are... I adhered them to the cardstock with removable glue dots so you could really see the scroll detail. On the upper right you can see each card and how they look invididually. To the left is how the piece looks folded and with the belly band/tag.

Programs

Picture
I got the idea for my programs from a graphic designer friend of mine who used the same layout at her wedding. Now I see they are doing the same general layout at Michaels (they come precut, you just have to print and assemble) but I received the ivory paper for free from a printer friend of mine and purchased the cardstock from paperandmore.com (precut for a $5 service charge). **PHOTO COMING SOON**

Favors

Surprisingly I came up with this idea on my own! Same brown cardstock from paperandmore.com and my fiance helped me glue the "Lucky in Love" labels on them. When we get back to Iowa we will buy the pickle lottery cards and adhere them to the inside of the tent cards with removable glue dots.

Photo Sharing Cards

I thought this was a cute idea... I made a website on Shutterfly and am asking guests to share their photos from the wedding with us/eachother. These will be in the out-of-town guest gift bags, at the reception and also included in our thank yous. I printed them through VistaPrint (which is surprisingly more complicated than I thought it would be!) Just a side note, if you decide to do these and print through VistaPrint, I highly suggest spending the extra money to get the glossy finish vs. matte. I wasn't totally happy with the way the matte print turned out.

Transportation Cards

Just a convenience for our guests since we are always annoyed with people don't have adequate transportation to/from the reception if the hotel is not within walking distance. These will be in their out-of-town gift bags as well as at the reception.

Out of Town Gift Bags

I loved the idea of these when I went to our friends' wedding a few years ago. For ours, we are going to use plain brown paper bags with our logo stamped on them and a card that has this poem:

Welcome to Omaha - we’re so glad you’re here
to share our Wedding day, with others near and dear.
Get ready for a celebration, where we’ll exchange vows and rings.
For you out-of-towners, here are a few of our favorite things.
Snacks to tide you over, a drink or two for fun.
Some water and ibuprofen, for when the fun is done.
We sincerely thank you for joining us on our special day,
and pray for you a safe trip home as you go on your way.
Enjoy!

In the bags we are going to put 2 Miller Lites, 2 water bottles with personalized labels, advil, baked lays, twizzlers, salt water taffy and trail mix.

Rehearsal Dinner Invites

Picture
Our rehearsal dinner is going to be at The Hilton Omaha, across from the Qwest Center. My future mother-in-law and father-in-law have planned all this by themselves (with a little input from the Fiance and I of course!) It's going to be really beautiful. We want it to have a fall theme since the wedding is in October and the wedding itself really doesn't have a fall theme at all.

I will also be sending out a wedding party itinerary with the rehearsal dinner. Email me if you want a copy. It details the weekend's events and important times.
